What level of detail can you see in Oblique Imagery?

Support Category:

As with vertical imagery, the level of detail that can be seen on an oblique aerial image depends upon the camera used to capture the imagery during the survey and its Ground Sampling Distance (GSD).

  • With a smaller GSD you capture a higher resolution image, resulting in more detail being visible in the delivered oblique imagery data
  • Recently the demand for highly detailed oblique imagery has increased and Geosense are undertaking oblique aerial imagery surveys at 5cm GSD. In addition, advancements in processing software and hardware has enabled the production of highly detailed 3D models derived from oblique imagery data captured by Geosense via our oblique aerial imagery surveys
