Geosense has an established and experienced management team, all of whom have worked in the aerial survey industry in Africa for some time. Meet the senior management team below.
Matt co-founded Geosense. He has a Master’s degree in Environmental Management with Remote Sensing and has been working in the geo-information industry for 20 years, initially in geological remote sensing and for the past 15 years, as Managing Director of Geosense Limited in South Africa where he has gained a wealth of experience in aerial survey using Digital Cameras and LiDAR sensors. In addition to Matts technical skills he has acted as project lead on a number of high profile projects throughout Southern Africa and his focus now is to ensure the continuing growth of the business in the Southern African region.
Ronel is a vastly experienced Project & Technical Manager and as Operations Director has overseen many of Geosense’s major projects since 2006. In that time she has overseen the processing of large volumes of aerial photography and height data for a wide range of public sector and professional clients including the UK Central Government (Pan-Government Agreement) and Aerial Photography for Scotland Users, Ordnance Survey OSIDC program and its South African and Angola equivalents (CD: NGI and DSM), hundreds of Local Authorities across Europe and Africa and a wide range of professional users including Microsoft, Google and National Grid. Ronel also personally oversaw the successful Ordnance Survey accreditation programs in 2011 and 2015. In addition, Ronel is a PRINCE2 qualified project manager and registered as a GIS professional with PLATO (the South African regulatory body for surveying and Geomatics).
Janco holds an Honours Degree in Geo-Informatics and has been working in the Aerial survey industry since 2004. Janco was key to the successful establishment of the LiDAR division in the company in 2013 and is responsible for the production and project management of all LiDAR related projects as well as managing the flight operations for both LiDAR and aerial surveys. Janco's focus is to assist Geosense growth in Africa, ensuring it remains at the forefront of technology.
