FAQs

I need to create a wall print of certain dimensions; do you know what resolution I will need?

We can calculate the amount of ground coverage required, and the best resolution for you to achieve the size required. All you need to know is what the final size will be and what location you want.

Are you able to put street names on to the aerial imagery, or create Hybrid maps?

That is not something that we currently offer as a service. It is something that we are looking to do in the future.

Am I able to alter the imagery to add street names or other such items?

Yes, once you have purchased the imagery you can alter it in anyway that you wish to. You can add street names, other buildings, change the colours and add any graphics that you like.

How does your imagery’s resolution relate to DPI?

Our imagery resolution is calculated by the amount of detail in the ground coverage relating to the number of pixels. For example, 25cm imagery would mean that every pixel in the image represents 25cm on the ground. You can print the imagery at whatever DPI your printer requires. The final physical size of the image will depend on the geographic area you wish to print and the printer’s resolution in dots per inch (DPI). We are happy to work this out for you.

Do you supply the imagery in black and white?

All of our modern imagery is supplied in colour as a digital file. You can create your own black and white version, using image processing software such as Adobe Photoshop.
